For Doctoral candidates who have completed their candidacy and seek to enhance their abilities with university level teaching, IGS 630 presents a unique opportunity.
Information Session for IGS 630: Teaching in Higher Education will be held
- November 17 from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. in SCI 331
- December 7 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in SCI 331
Peter Arthur the instructor for IGS 630 and Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning and Daniel Keyes the interim Director of Interdisciplinary Studies will answer questions from PhD candidates and potential faculty mentors about this exciting non credit course that teaches doctoral students how to teach within their core discipline at an upper division level at a university. They will discuss the structure of the course and the method of applying to take this course, which for the academic year 2012 will be open to a maximum of twelve students.
The deadline for applications for the course is 4 p.m. Monday 6 Feb. 2012 with applications due at the College of Graduate Studies.
