A Quick Evaluation – How are you Doing?


The evaluation procedures that we have in place require you to wait until the end of the course before you find out how the students feel about your teaching.

A really simple, but relatively effective tool, is the ticket out the door. This can be used at any time but it is particularly effective after about three classes. Simply give all students a slip of paper:

What question do I have?      ____________________________________________________________________
Give them a few minutes to complete the two questions then stand at the door and collect them as the students leave. No need for names. Read the anonymous comments and you may be surprised at how useful they can be
