Summer Term – Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics and Statistics


Teaching Assistants

 Unit 5 has Teaching Assistant positions available in the Summer 2013 Term 1 & 2 for undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics.  Subject to budgetary approval and enrolment pressures, it is anticipated that there will be up to 3 Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA1 or GTA2).  Partial teaching assistantships may be awarded.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified applicants for these positions who are enrolled at UBC Okanagan will have priority. UBC hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity. We encourage qualified applicants to apply.

International Students: Must provide a copy of Work Permit valid until August 31st, 2013.

DUTIES:

Successful candidates will be assigned duties in one or more undergraduate courses.  The duties will vary with the course and may involve marking of assignments, labs and tests, instruction in labs or tutorials, and invigilation duties.

GTA1 (graduate student in Ph.D. program)                                       $30.98 per hour

GTA2 (graduate student in M.Sc. program)                                      $29.85 per hour
