Unit 5 has Teaching Assistant positions available in the Winter Term 2012 for undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. Subject to budgetary approval and enrolment pressures, it is anticipated that there will be up to 20 Undergraduate Teaching Assistantships (UTA) and up to 16 Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTA1 or GTA2). Partial teaching assistantships may be awarded.
Qualified applicants for these positions who are enrolled in full-time studies at UBC Okanagan will have priority. UBC hires on the basis of merit and is committed to employment equity. We encourage qualified applicants to apply.
Note: full-time undergraduate status is defined as a minimum of 24 credits over 2 terms for the Winter Session.
International Students: Must provide a copy of Work Permit valid until April 30, 2013.
Successful candidates will be assigned duties in one or more undergraduate courses. The duties will vary with the course and may involve marking of assignments, labs and tests, instruction in labs or tutorials, and invigilation duties.

GTA1 (graduate student in Ph.D. program) $29.78 per hour
GTA2 (graduate student in M.Sc. program) $28.69 per hour
Undergraduate Teaching Assistants $14.65 per hour
